People that Read My Blog,
As both you know, I was out of town last week telling comedy jokes on the road. You have probably been eagerly waiting for tales of triumph and strife as I struggled through the middle-west to make a name for myself as the plucky MC that could!
Well, there was not much strife. It was great hanging out with the comics at Maddock’s triple rock show. I had seemingly good sets at Acme’s open mic, the Monday Night Comedy Show, and the House of Comedy. Beyond having a good times on stage it was nice to meet some of the Minneapolis folks I had to really meet and hang out with. It was a blast.
The week of MC spots and Skyline was awesome. Great, smart audiences and one of the best possible wait staffs made that a real treat. Also, Cliff and Rob at the club run a great show; and Ken Schultz and Mike Merryfield were both cool dudes and great to work with. Didn’t get drunk and make an ass out of myself.
On a non-comedy related note, it was great to get to spend some time with my brother, Carson, and his fiance, Maris…who were nice enough to let me crash at their place!
The week was a smashing success.
Back in the F/M area:
This week the Red Raven was woefully un-attended by comics and audience members. I have been setting up promotional stuff for the 222 Comedy Boom at Studio 222 on March 2nd, and I am the MC for Jay Wendell Walker at Courtney’s all weekend. I have never seen Jay W, but I have heard nothing but great things about him and I look forward to having a good weekend. Also, there is an open mic at Courtney’s tonight, so Comics, lets make up for the Red Raven and come out to tell some jokes and hone your craft at Courtney’s (sign up by 6:30 or txt me if you are running late).
Thanks for reading my blog…I probably should have included something funny in the above paragraphs…
