Into the Outro
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday

All,

So, it’s been about a year since I got serious about doing stand-up and I am sticking with it and I see no signs of slowing down. I have gotten on stage as many times as possible in the last year, I have met many great and funny people and I have had some opportunities that typically don’t happen for someone who is still brand new, like me. Tomorrow is another one of those opportunities.

Tomorrow night I am serving as guest MC for a show at the Empire Arts Center in Grand Forks, ND. The show starts at 8pm, it costs 12 dollars, and the headliner is the comic who recorded the best live stand-up album since Paul F. Tompkins made “Impersonal.” His name is Kyle Kinane and he is one of the funniest comics working today. He was named one of the 10 comics to watch in 2010 by Variety Magazine, and he’s coming to Grand Forks, TOMORROW (Sunday, Nov. 7th).

So…that’s already incredibly fucking dope, whether I do 5 minutes or 45 seconds, this show is going to be the most fun I have had in a long time.

In addition to Kyle you will get the hilarious comedy stylings of our area’s prodigal son, Spencer Dobson. Spencer booked this show, he has been coming out to our open mics to workout and he will make you laugh, for real. Nice guy, funny guy, come out to this show and laugh with me at him.

I know I am always promoting shows and trying to get my friends to come out. From your perspective it probably seems like I am pimping some show every week…and I usually am. But tomorrow, in Grand Forks, this is a show like when Todd Barry was in town, or when Maron, Kindler, and Mirman or Stanhope rocked the Aquarium. This is the comedy show that you cannot miss.

Tickets are 12 bucks and I would easily pay 25.

The show starts at 8, which means you should leave Fargo at 6:15 to get there in time to get a ticket and grab a good seat.

If you need proof of Kyle’s comic might, just search his name on youtube, or visit this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLs9ozsGFi0 to see an animation of one of his bits. It is hilarious. He is hilarious. So, you should probably gas up the car and head to Grand Forks…or, if you live in Grand Forks, just grab a beer and come join us.
